Neha Pandit Tembe, Founder, Snack Right
Seeing the market which is lacking genuinely healthy and nutritious snacking options, Neha Pandit Tembe through her venture Snack Right aims at creating employment opportunities for other women to empower them.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, Neha Pandit Tembe shares some personal space with NuFFooDS Spectrum-
My daily routine-
I'm not an early morning person. So typically work day begins at 11am, before that it's me time which includes exercise, catching up with news, start-up updates & of course a hearty breakfast!
Start-up founder doesn’t have fixed duties or defined work timings. You have to wear several hats depending on what the day throws at you! Every day is new adventure!
I typically wind up by 8.30-9ish unless events are around.
My idea of nutrition and fitness-
Nutrition, Fitness and Health define who I am and my beliefs. If you are doing something for a decade, and you love it, it becomes a part of your personality. I disagree with people who say fitness & healthy eating are just passing fads. I genuinely believe that “You are what you eat” (and don’t) which is also a part of Snack Right’s identity!
My favourite cuisine-
I'm a foodie since birth (no exaggeration!).
So experimenting new foods n cuisines is what I love... Lot of my travel revolves around trying and buying local food, so it is difficult to name one cuisine. Safe to say I'm an experimental foodie nutritionist and so taste (along with health) has been given importance in all our products.
My favourite holiday spot-
Without any second thoughts several cities in Europe- Lagos, Utrecht, Amsterdam & Paris take the top spot closely followed by Bali. Of course there’s lot more to explore coz I love to travel.
My idea of a balance between personal and professional life-
Frankly if you are a 1st generation entrepreneur in the early stages of building your start-up, you will definitely be compromising on some aspects of personal n social life. But the satisfaction of what you are busy doing will be lot more than those sacrifices.
Also I'm blessed to have an extremely supportive partner n family who go out of the way to push me to achieve my dream.
Having said that I try to keep few hours of the day/week for personal, family and friends where we make it a point not to discuss Snack Right.
My role model-
There is so much to learn from so many people around us. I don’t believe in limiting that source of knowledge to one person. But yet some icons which inspire me are-
Mary Kom for having sheer grit n determination towards her goal, Ekta Kapoor & Kiran Shaw proving that women can single handedly excel in what they choose to do. Steve Jobs for significance of innovation, Jeff Bezos for his unique word-of-mouth marketing strategy. Elon Musk for his ‘out of the box’ futuristic thinking.
Nic Vujicic for proving that you are only as handicapped as you think. Baba & Prakash Amte, Sindhutai Sakpal for confirming my belief that nothing can be greater than having Humanity.
All of them have a common teaching that nothing replaces “hard work & conviction” in whatever you choose to do.
